Kristen and David Cox named 2025-2026 Parents of the Year by Texas A&M University, nominated by their son Kyle Cox, a doctoral student in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications

Kristen Cox, a 1983 Texas A&M graduate, founded her own computer company to work from home after her son was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and became CEO of 12th Man Technology (Texas A&M's official technology partner) in 2019

Mrs. Cox served as president of the El Paso A&M Club for a decade, president of the Aggie Women Network, and board member for the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

David Cox, a former NASA employee who now works at Texas A&M, has supported the family and business; together they created scholarships for students with disabilities
