Tracy Morgan, facilities director at Galveston College, received the 2025 Facilities Management Distinguished Service Award from the Texas Association of Physical Plant Administrators (TAPPA)

Morgan is a U.S. Air Force veteran and community college graduate with nearly 25 years of experience in facility management; he joined Galveston College in 2022

He has overseen major expansion projects including the three-story, 64,000 square-foot Health Sciences Education Center and maintains facilities at the main campus and Charlie Thomas Family Applied Technology Center

TAPPA, established in 1979, represents more than 175 educational organizations across Texas and annually honors individuals for leadership, mentorship, and excellence in educational facility management

The Texas House of Representatives adopted this resolution on May 23, 2025, by non-record vote
