Honors the memory of Maverick Levertt Crawford III of San Antonio, who passed away on August 23, 2024, at age 28, recognized as a champion for the autism community

Crawford graduated with honors from Brooks Academy of Science and Engineering, earned an associate's degree from St. Philip's College, a bachelor's degree cum laude in criminal justice and public administration from UTSA (winning Most Outstanding Student Award), and a master's degree in social work from UT Arlington—despite being diagnosed with severe autism spectrum disorder

Served on the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities, mentored Lanier High School students, volunteered at UTSA's autism center, and worked with the National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater San Antonio to fight stigma against seeking mental health care

Authored a memoir titled "Overcoming the Odds" documenting his experiences

The Texas House of Representatives unanimously adopted the resolution on May 23, 2025, by rising vote, extending condolences to his family and adjourning in his memory
