Texas House of Representatives commemorates the 50th anniversary of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), established in 1975 through the merger of three organizations

NCSL is a bipartisan organization serving state and territorial legislators and legislative staff with a mission to advance effectiveness, independence, and integrity of state legislatures

The organization fosters interstate communication and cooperation while ensuring states have a strong voice at the federal level

Resolution commends NCSL for providing research, facilitating exchange of ideas, and strengthening relations between state legislatures and the international community

Adopted by the Texas House on June 1, 2025, by non-record vote; an official copy to be prepared for NCSL as an expression of high regard
