Taylor Nunez of Randolph High School in Universal City won four gold medals at the 2025 UIL 3A Track & Field State Meet on May 1, setting records in the long jump (20 feet, 9.5 inches) and 100 meters (11.22 seconds)

Nunez finished her high school career with 16 gold medals in UIL state competition, establishing herself as the most decorated athlete in Texas high school track history across all genders

The 4x400-meter relay team of Nunez, Jaela Smith, Sophia Bendet, and Grace Kistler set a 3A record with a time of 3:47.72, helping Randolph High win its fourth consecutive team title

Nunez has signed a letter of intent to compete in track at Texas A&M University, continuing a family tradition as her mother Tameka Nunez (née Roberts) was a seven-time All-American at UTSA
