Recognizes May 19, 2025, as Trooper Day at the Texas Capitol to honor officers and staff of Region VII of the Texas Department of Public Safety

Region VII has been responsible for security of the 46 square-block Capitol Complex area since September 1991

Duties include police patrol, traffic enforcement, parking administration, dignitary protection, surveillance monitoring, screening at Capitol entrances, crime investigation, vulnerability assessments, and crowd control during rallies

Commends Region VII personnel for over three decades of maintaining law, order, and civility in the Capitol Complex
