Major Christopher J. Foote of Georgetown, Texas is retiring from the United States Marine Corps in 2025 after more than two decades of military service

Graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2005 and earned his wings as an AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter pilot in 2007

Deployed on consecutive tours supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq, and global counterterrorism efforts with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

Completed the prestigious Weapons and Tactics Instructor course and most recently served at the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia

Will continue aviation career as a medevac and search and rescue helicopter pilot in command with the Maryland Department of State Police Aviation Command
