Texas House of Representatives honors Jack Edward Worthington Jr. of Corpus Christi, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at age 72

Worthington served as a paratrooper with the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and worked as a civilian materials engineer for the Army and Air Force for more than 40 years

Joined Corpus Christi Army Depot Materials Process Engineering Division in 2006, leading inspections and failure analyses for Army aviation accident investigations; received the 2015 Department of the Army Civilian Service Achievement Medal

Survived by partner Yvonne Buchanan, four sons, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild

Resolution unanimously adopted by rising vote on May 23, 2025, with the House adjourning in his memory
