Orlando Flores, a county extension agent for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is commended for his work managing red flour beetle infestations in the El Paso and West Texas area

Flores developed strategies to address the infestation, educated local farmers and residents, and fostered collaboration to mitigate the beetle's impact on agriculture

Red flour beetles are small insects commonly found in grocery products that have caused outbreaks in the West Texas region in recent years

An official copy of the resolution will be prepared for Mr. Flores as an expression of high regard from the Texas House of Representatives
