Danna Morales, a student at Americas High School in Socorro Independent School District, served as a legislative intern in State Representative Mary E. González's office during the 89th Texas Legislature

Intern duties included drafting resolutions and memos and tracking local and global news

Morales ranks in the top 10 percent of her class and holds leadership positions including secretary of the Libertas program, team captain of the High-Q trivia and varsity swimming teams, and lead attorney on the mock trial team

Morales has been accepted to The University of Texas at El Paso through the Excellence Scholarship Program
