Solarie was born in Port Arthur on August 30, 1954, and earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering magna cum laude from Prairie View A&M University in three years

Worked as an engineer for Boeing, Chevron, Gulf Oil, and retired from ConocoPhillips operations division in 2016

Served as a mentor and sponsor in the Narcotics Anonymous program for many years and was a member of West Side Church of Christ in Angleton

Resolution extends condolences to his wife Janice, three children, five grandchildren, two sisters, and other relatives; adopted unanimously by rising vote on May 23, 2025
