The Texas House of Representatives commemorates the grand opening of UTEP's Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace Center, which held its ribbon cutting ceremony on April 11, 2025

The $80 million research and education facility, funded by the UT System Board of Regents, broke ground in fall 2022 and features 29 laboratories

The facility houses the W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation, which contains more than 70 advanced 3D printers and partners with over 100 industry partners and 10 federal agencies including Army and Air Force Research Labs, Northrop Grumman, and Lockheed Martin

The Aerospace Center conducts research in propulsion, unmanned aerial vehicles, and spacecraft design in collaboration with NASA, the Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Energy

Resolution was adopted by the House on May 23, 2025, by non-record vote, and directs that an official copy be prepared for the center
