Sydney Taylor graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in government and a minor in history

She was active in Phi Delta Phi pre-law society and Delta Delta Delta sorority, serving on the executive board and receiving the Theta Zeta Centennial Scholarship for leadership and community service

She plans to attend Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and pursue a career in civil litigation in Texas
