Texas House Resolution commending six members of the PowerHouse Texas Energy Policy Fellowship Program for their support during the 89th Legislative Session

PowerHouse Texas is a nonpartisan nonprofit founded by the Texas Energy and Climate Caucus that provides full-time, paid internships for graduate and undergraduate students with science, technology, engineering, and environmental science backgrounds to work at the Texas Capitol

The 2025 cohort of six fellows served in offices of both House and Senate members: Andie Kapioff (Sen. Nathan Johnson), Ava Peinhardt (Rep. Todd Hunter), Coleman Nickum (Rep. Erin Zwiener), Grace Childers (Rep. Richard Hayes), Nia Nickens (Rep. Rafael Anchía), and Shipra Mishra (Rep. Drew Darby)

Fellows hold degrees from institutions including Columbia University, Rice University, UT Austin, Texas A&M, Trinity University, Swarthmore College, and Cornell University in fields such as climate and society, chemical engineering, energy, and environmental studies

Resolution adopted by non-record vote on June 1, 2025, with official copies to be prepared for participants as an expression of high regard
