Texas House of Representatives commends the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) staff for their dedicated service during the 89th Legislative Session

LBB serves as a permanent joint committee responsible for developing budget and policy recommendations, preparing fiscal analyses, and evaluating state and local government efficiency and performance

LBB statutory duties include adopting constitutional spending limits, preparing General Appropriations Bill drafts, conducting school district reviews, preparing fiscal notes, maintaining the state contract database, and guiding agency strategic plans

Leadership recognized includes Director Jerry McGinty, Deputy Director Nora Velasco-Herrera, General Counsel Stewart Shallow, Chief of Staff Malika Te, and Assistant Directors Scott Dudley, Aaron Henricksen, Julie Lindsey, and Matthew Medford
