Texas House of Representatives congratulates Gary Calfee on his 2025 retirement after a four-decade career as an attorney and legislative advocate at the State Capitol

Calfee is a Waco native who graduated from Richfield High School in 1968, earned a government degree from The University of Texas at Austin, and later obtained his law degree from UT School of Law

Resolution recognizes Calfee's reputation for dedication, integrity, and self-reliance in his work, as well as his cooking skills, particularly his pozole and beef tenderloin

Calfee plans to spend his retirement at his ranch in New Mexico with his wife, Laura
