Urges the U.S. Congress to reimburse Texas $11 billion for border security costs incurred under Operation Lone Star

Operation Lone Star was launched in March 2021 by Governor Greg Abbott to address migrant crossings and drug trafficking at the southern border

Texas National Guard and Department of Public Safety personnel have been deployed to detect and repel illegal crossings, arrest human smugglers and cartel members, and stop fentanyl trafficking

Operation Lone Star has resulted in more than 516,300 apprehensions of illegal immigrants and over 45,300 arrests

Directs the chief clerk to forward official copies of the resolution to the U.S. President, congressional leadership, and all Texas members of Congress for entry into the Congressional Record
