Sister Emilie served seven decades as a professed religious, teaching at Catholic schools in Bay City, Ganado, and San Antonio, and serving as principal at schools in Victoria and Cuero

Earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Incarnate Word College and a master's degree in educational administration from Southwest Texas State University

Served nearly two decades on her congregation's leadership team, organized the Amor Meus Spirituality Center board, and became a certified spiritual direction and formation director

Directs that the Texas House of Representatives adjourn in her memory and that an official copy of the resolution be prepared for her family
