Texas House of Representatives honors Carl Wayne Warwick of Houston, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at age 88

Warwick played Major League Baseball from 1961-1966 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Colt .45s, Baltimore Orioles, and Chicago Cubs, winning a World Series championship with St. Louis in 1964

Earned NCAA All-American honors at Texas Christian University in 1957 and was inducted into the TCU Lettermen's Association Hall of Fame (1989) and Texas Baseball Hall of Fame (2003)

Founded Carl Warwick and Associates real estate investment company and served 12 years on the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority, also serving as chairman of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association

Resolution adopted unanimously by rising vote on May 23, 2025, with the House adjourning in his memory
