Texas House of Representatives pays tribute to Benjamin Cavazos of Mission, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at age 94

Cavazos founded Mission Auto Electric (later MAE Power Equipment), which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2004, and served as founder and charter president of the Texas Service Dealers Organization

Served the Mission community through membership in the Chamber of Commerce since 1965, founding the Citrus Cavaliers, over 50 years with the Mission Kiwanis Club, and nearly two decades on the Mission hospital board

Recognized as 1980 City of Mission Man of the Year, 1984 Mr. Mission, and 2019 Business Leader of the Year by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce

Resolution extends sympathy to his five children, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and directs the House to adjourn in his memory; unanimously adopted by rising vote on May 23, 2025
