Commemorates the 150th anniversary (sesquicentennial) Founders Day celebration of the Barrett Station Civic League on June 14, 2025

Honors Harrison Barrett, born around 1845, who after emancipation in 1865 reunited his family on land east of the San Jacinto River and helped them build seven houses and start farms

Recognizes Barrett's 1889 purchase of land for 50 cents an acre, one of the largest properties acquired by a freedman in Harris County, and his donation of land for Shiloh Baptist Church which also served as a school

Notes the community gained a post office substation in 1947 (becoming Barrett Station), the civic league was established in 1954, and the community now has more than 4,000 residents
