Honors her community service including membership on the Mayor's Hispanic Advisory Board during eight administrations (currently co-chair), chairing Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 12, and serving as vice president of the Houston Foundation

Acknowledges her advocacy for the Hispanic community, women, and families beginning in 1980, along with awards including the Yolanda Black Navarro Community Legacy Award, Comcast Hispanic Hero Award, and Barbara Jordan Community Impact Award

Directs that an official copy of the resolution be prepared for Mrs. Sorola-Pohlman as an expression of high regard from the Texas House of Representatives
