Texas House of Representatives pays tribute to Dale Susan Eastman of Houston, a breast cancer advocate who died on April 16, 2025, at age 84

Co-founded the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation in 1992 with three other breast cancer survivors after being diagnosed at age 49; the foundation provided screening, financial assistance, a helpline, educational programs, and research funding

Served on the National Breast Cancer Coalition board of directors for two decades, became Texas field coordinator in 1997, and represented NBCC at the White House

Helped establish the Patient Advocate Program at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and served on advisory boards including the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences

Resolution was unanimously adopted by rising vote on May 23, 2025, with the House adjourning in her memory
