John Hudspeth is retiring as Dallas deputy district engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation on February 28, 2025, after nearly 30 years with TxDOT

Hudspeth graduated from Texas A&M University with a civil engineering degree in 1995 and began as an engineer in training in the Collin County area office

Career highlights include serving as design manager for the nearly $2.7 billion LBJ Express comprehensive development agreement and managing a $25 billion project portfolio as director of transportation planning and development

Received the DeWitt C. Greer Award from the Texas A&M System in 2021 for outstanding service in highway engineering

The Texas House of Representatives congratulates Hudspeth on his retirement and directs that an official copy of the resolution be prepared for him
