Recognizes April 29, 2025, as Prison Entrepreneurship Program Day at the State Capitol and welcomes the visiting delegation

Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP), established in 2004, provides character development and entrepreneurship boot camp to incarcerated individuals, who receive a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business upon graduation

Nearly 10,000 incarcerated individuals have participated in PEP, with over 4,000 certificates awarded; graduates have established more than 700 businesses, including several generating over $5 million in annual gross revenue

PEP graduates experience high employment rates and low recidivism rates, with continued access to resources including eSchool classes, Communitas Business Centers, and family reunification initiatives

PEP has received the Texas Governor's Award for Criminal Justice Volunteer Service and was named a Rising Star in the Fast Company/Monitor Group Social Capitalist Awards
