Congratulates Dr. Neal Weaver on his investiture ceremony as the 11th president of Stephen F. Austin State University, held on May 1, 2025

Dr. Weaver was unanimously appointed by The University of Texas System Board of Regents in March 2024 and began his tenure on May 13, 2024

Previous experience includes serving as president of Georgia Southwestern State University and vice president for university advancement and innovation at Nicholls State University

Dr. Weaver holds a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, an MBA from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from the University of Oklahoma

Resolution directs that an official copy be prepared for Dr. Weaver as an expression of high regard from the Texas House of Representatives
