TX SB1015

Requires the comptroller to determine at the end of each state fiscal year the amounts deposited in the judicial fund from statutory probate court fees, including fees remitted through the electronic filing system and fees paid directly to court officers

Mandates the comptroller to remit excess funds proportionately to counties that contributed more to the judicial fund from statutory probate court fees than they received under existing payment provisions

Changes the funding source for presiding judge salary and expenses from fees collected under Section 118.052(2)(A)(vi) to fees allocated to the judicial education and support fund under Section 135.102, Local Government Code

Applies retroactively to amounts deposited in the judicial fund from statutory probate court fees collected before, on, or after the effective date

Takes effect September 1, 2025
