Courts must include required findings in a separate section of their order when making determinations in suits affecting the parent-child relationship, enumerating with specificity the facts and circumstances supporting those findings

When a court determines that a child's parents are unwilling or unable to provide a safe environment, the order must contain written findings describing the specific facts and circumstances supporting that determination

Simply citing or incorporating the record of proceedings by reference does not satisfy the requirement for specific written findings

Applies to actions pending or filed on or after the effective date

Takes effect September 1, 2025
