Expands the existing Texas Penal Code offense for unlawful production or distribution of sexually explicit "deep fake videos" to cover all "visual material," including still images

Defines "deep fake visual material" as visual material created with intent to deceive that appears to depict a real person performing an action that did not occur in reality

Adds a definition of "visual material" by referencing Section 43.26(b)(3) of the Penal Code, which covers films, photographs, videotapes, negatives, slides, and similar formats

Maintains that the offense applies when someone knowingly produces or distributes such material electronically without the depicted person's effective consent, showing intimate parts or sexual conduct

Takes effect September 1, 2025
