Increases tuition exemption for Texas military forces members from 12 to 15 semester credit hours per semester or term at institutions of higher education

Extends maximum duration for receiving tuition and fee assistance from 5 academic years or 10 semesters to 7 academic years or 15 semesters/terms

Raises the cap on assistance awards for Texas State Guard members from 30 to 45 per semester or term, unless the adjutant general determines additional awards are needed

Expands benefit eligibility to include academic terms (such as summer sessions) in addition to regular semesters

Applies beginning with the 2025 fall semester and takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025
