Expands county fire marshal inspection authority for group homes from certain counties to all counties in Texas by removing the geographic limitation in the section heading

Adopts the standardized definition of "group home" from Section 769.001, Health and Safety Code (as established by S.B. 188 from the 88th Legislature, 2023), replacing the previous standalone definition in the Local Government Code

Repeals Section 352.0165(b) of the Local Government Code, which previously contained county-specific applicability provisions

Includes legislative intent language requiring harmonization with other 89th Legislature acts relating to nonsubstantive code corrections

Takes effect immediately upon receiving two-thirds vote from both legislative chambers, otherwise September 1, 2025
