Prohibits physicians and other health care providers from reporting or disclosing to peace officers or law enforcement agencies information about patients who experienced a miscarriage, obtained an abortion, or are suspected of having done so

Violations of this prohibition constitute a violation of Chapter 181 of the Health and Safety Code (medical privacy regulations), subjecting providers to enforcement actions including disciplinary action by licensing authorities

Authorizes the executive commissioner to adopt rules to implement the chapter

Applies only to reports or disclosures occurring on or after the effective date

Takes effect September 1, 2025
