Adds permanent, paid firefighters (including fire chiefs) employed by municipal, county, or special district fire departments to the list of persons who may claim exemption from jury service

Adds permanent, paid police officers (including police chiefs) employed by municipal or county police departments to the list of persons who may claim exemption from jury service

Applies only to persons summoned for jury service with appearance dates on or after September 1, 2025

Amends Section 62.106(a) of the Government Code, which currently allows exemptions for persons over 75, caregivers of children under 12, students, legislative employees, recent jurors in larger counties, caregivers of dependent adults, and deployed military members
