Adds online safety to the required enrichment curriculum for Texas public schools (K-12), covering potential dangers of Internet websites, social media applications, and artificial intelligence applications

Requires the State Board of Education to adopt essential knowledge and skills for online safety instruction covering: sharing information on social media, maintaining personal security, preventing oversharing, identifying cyberbullying, predatory behavior, and human trafficking online

Mandates instruction on the permanence of information shared online and how to report suspicious Internet activity to appropriate authorities

Expands the Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Training duties to include educating citizens under age 18 on online safety when using websites, social media, and AI applications

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025; school curriculum requirements apply beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
