Modifies the required economics course for high school graduation to explicitly include personal financial literacy as part of the curriculum, rather than offering "personal financial literacy & economics" as an alternative standalone option

Maintains existing foundation high school program requirements: 4 credits in English, 3 credits in mathematics, 3 credits in science, 3 credits in social studies, 2 credits in a language other than English, 5 elective credits, 1 credit in fine arts, and 1 credit in physical education

Applies only to students entering ninth grade during the 2025-2026 school year or later; students already in grades 10-12 during that year remain under previous requirements

Takes effect immediately with a two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers, or September 1, 2025 otherwise
