Requires the Department of State Health Services to add a sex chromosome structure test to Texas's mandatory newborn screening program

Applies the new screening requirement to the state's detection and treatment program, heritable disease screening, and newborn screening services

Directs the Department of State Health Services to implement the new testing requirement as soon as practicable after the act takes effect

Takes effect immediately if passed by two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers; otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
