Prohibits donation of unclaimed bodies or bodies requiring burial at public expense to willed body programs of medical/dental schools, non-transplant anatomical donation organizations, or other commission-authorized donees for medical or forensic science advancement

Allows a decedent's body to be donated to such entities only through a will or other written instrument executed by the decedent in accordance with existing law (Section 691.028)

Permits persons who may lawfully claim a decedent's body for burial to provide informed consent for donation to authorized medical/forensic science entities

Removes the existing provision that allowed the commission or designated physicians to remove unclaimed bodies for medical or forensic science advancement

Requires the commission to adopt rules to implement these new restrictions, with an effective date of September 1, 2025
