Prohibits municipalities from adopting or enforcing ordinances that ban keeping six or fewer chickens on single-family residential lots

Prohibits property owners' associations from adopting or enforcing restrictive covenants that ban keeping six or fewer chickens on single-family residential lots, but only applies to covenants created on or after September 1, 2025

Allows municipalities and HOAs to impose "reasonable regulations" that do not effectively prohibit six or fewer chickens, including limits on chickens exceeding six, prohibitions on breeding poultry or keeping roosters, and minimum distance requirements for chicken coops

Declares any municipal ordinance or HOA covenant provision that violates these protections to be void

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025
