Requires county election officers to complete 10 hours of instruction on their duties within the first year of assuming office

Mandates 10 hours of continuing education courses each calendar year for county election officers after their first year in office

Allows county election officers to carry over up to 5 excess continuing education hours from one calendar year to the next

Permits county clerks to count up to 10 hours of election officer training toward their required 20 hours of initial instruction and continuing education

Permits county assessor-collectors to count up to 10 hours of election officer training toward their required 20 hours of annual continuing education

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025
