Texas Workforce Commission must establish an advanced nuclear energy workforce development program in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to address urgent skilled labor demands in the industry

Program requires creation of a strategic plan addressing labor supply gaps, talent retention, and financial assistance through public-private partnerships to support K-12 nuclear science outreach, secondary-to-higher education pathways, and research development

Curriculum requirements must be developed for degree and certificate programs in nuclear-grade welding, radiological control and monitoring, reactor operations, nuclear instrumentation and control, and nuclear/electrical/chemical/civil/environmental engineering

Commission must consult with employers in the advanced nuclear energy industry, educational institutions, and Public Utility Commission representatives when developing curriculum

Annual report due September 1 to legislative committees with jurisdiction over workforce development, higher education, or energy, summarizing program activities and recommendations; effective date September 1, 2025
