Office of Court Administration of the Texas Judicial System must conduct a study on digital court reporting, defined as making verbatim records of court proceedings, depositions, or grand jury proceedings using digital technology or electronic recording equipment

Study must evaluate current use of digital court reporting in Texas courts, including cost, access, accuracy, and effectiveness

Study must analyze how other states and jurisdictions use digital court reporting and provide recommendations for any necessary changes to Texas statutes, rules, regulations, or standards

Report must be submitted to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker of the house, and appropriate legislative committees by October 1, 2026

Act takes effect September 1, 2025 and expires September 1, 2027
