Adds rhabdomyolysis to the list of potentially catastrophic injuries that must be covered in safety training programs for public school extracurricular activities

Safety training must include certification from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, similar organizations, or the University Interscholastic League

Required training topics include emergency action planning, effective 9-1-1 communication, and recognizing symptoms of head/neck injuries, concussions, second impact syndrome, asthma attacks, heatstroke, cardiac arrest, and defibrillator use

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds vote of both chambers, otherwise September 1, 2025
