Requires public school CPR instruction to include training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), in addition to existing CPR technique requirements

Mandates that CPR instruction incorporate psychomotor skills to support the training, applying this requirement to all approved curricula rather than only certain programs

Instruction must be developed by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or using nationally recognized, evidence-based guidelines for emergency cardiovascular care

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025
