Creates a new criminal offense of trespass on or near school or day-care center property under Section 30.055 of the Texas Penal Code

Applies to persons who enter or remain on school/day-care property or on public property (streets, sidewalks, parks) within 500 feet of such property

Offense requires that the person poses a substantial risk of harm, causes disruption to the learning environment, or repeatedly engages in inappropriate behavior for a school setting

Person must also receive a request to leave from an administrator, educator, or security officer and fail to depart

Classified as a Class A misdemeanor, with an effective date of September 1, 2025
