Counties and municipalities that regulate boarding home facilities must submit an annual written report to the state commission by September 30 each year

Required report contents include: current standards/ordinances for boarding home facilities, policies for handling reasonable accommodation requests, and information on activities supporting facility operators with compliance

Reports must include annual statistics on reasonable accommodation requests (received, approved, rejected with reasons), fair housing law complaints/actions against facilities, and facility closures with reasons and resident accommodations provided

Counties and municipalities must also report any updates to their boarding home standards or ordinances after submitting the annual report

The first report is not required until September 30, 2026, with the act taking effect September 1, 2025
