Adds "de-escalation techniques" to the list of optional training topics that may be included in staff development for positive behavior intervention and support strategies

Expands mandatory training on instruction of students with disabilities to specifically include students with autism

Requires training to address students with disabilities who also have other intellectual or mental health conditions

Training on students with disabilities must be evidence-based as defined by the Every Student Succeeds Act and designed for educators working primarily outside special education

Takes effect September 1, 2025
