Requires public electric vehicle charging stations funded through public grants or state rebate programs to be powered only by renewable energy sources

Applies to EV charging stations installed after December 1, 2024, that are publicly accessible and not intended primarily for private use

Adds a new duty for electric vehicle supply providers to ensure their equipment is powered only by renewable energy sources

Directs the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, in consultation with the Texas Department of Transportation, to adopt standards enforcing the renewable energy requirement alongside existing connector compatibility standards

Takes effect immediately if passed by two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers, otherwise September 1, 2025
