Prohibits the manufacture, sale, transfer, or possession of 3D-printed firearms or major firearm components produced through three-dimensional printing in Texas

Prohibits distributing, publishing, or making available digital firearm schematics (CAD files or other digital instructions) to another person in Texas with intent to facilitate 3D-printed firearm production

Exempts state and federal law enforcement acting in official capacity, licensed firearms manufacturers complying with federal and state laws, and research institutions approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety

Classifies violation of the 3D-printed firearm prohibition as a third-degree felony and violation of the digital schematic distribution prohibition as a Class A misdemeanor

Applies only to offenses committed on or after the effective date of the act
