Creates a 10-member task force to evaluate housing needs of LGBTQ+ senior citizens and develop safe, affordable housing solutions, including for those transitioning to long-term care facilities such as assisted living or nursing homes

Task force composition includes the chair of the House LGBTQ caucus as presiding officer, plus 3 members each appointed by the governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker of the house

Each appointing official must appoint one LGBTQ+ community representative, one aging issues expert (potentially from Coalition for Aging LGBT or care facilities), and one public safety/housing expert (potentially from Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs)

Appointments must be made by November 1, 2025, and the task force must submit a written report with findings and legislative recommendations by September 1, 2026

Task force members receive no compensation but may be reimbursed for expenses; the task force expires December 1, 2026
