Requires the Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies nursing advisory committee to conduct a study on school nurse staffing issues, including salary rates, recruitment strategies, and campus coverage gaps

Study must evaluate the number of Texas school campuses operating without a nurse during instructional hours and estimate costs of requiring each campus to employ at least one full-time school nurse

Advisory committee must assess whether school nurse salaries should be comparable to full-time teacher salaries and explore recruiting nurses directly from higher education institutions

Study will recommend strategies for including school nurses in campus operations such as behavioral threat assessment teams and school health advisory councils, plus best practices for recruitment and retention

Report with findings and legislative recommendations due to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker, and legislators by December 1, 2026; the Act expires September 1, 2027
